Hello there!
My name is Melinda Martinez, owner and sole photographer of Melinda Martinez Photography. I've been taking photos now for at least 20 years! It's been a fun and rewarding experience!
I enjoy using the Sandia Mountains as my background for senior and family portraits. Who could ask for a better view?
Frequently Asked Questions
1) When and where do you take photos?
I shoot at a variety of places within the greater Albuquerque area. From the beautiful Rio Grande bosque, even into Rio Rancho and sometimes Los Lunas!
But ultimately we will work together to find the perfect location that coordinates with your personal photo session.
I do also offer in studio sessions as well. (This is a great way to get out of the elements during the hot summers and cold winters.)
I schedule sessions any day of the week! I am flexible enough to work around your schedule, but typically I prefer to schedule sessions about an hour before sunset.
3) Do you edit the photos?
All final images will include standard editing such as color correction and lighting adjustments. All edited images will also include blemish removal, and some skin smoothing. Special request editing beyond my standard retouching is always available as an additional fee.
2) What is the investment?
I like to offer more of an 'a la carte' option. How am I to know what you are wanting for your photos?
Canvas prints, an album, small prints, or just digitals...I want you to create your own package that you want!
There is a small session fee that will need to be paid up front. After the photos have been taken, we will meet again to discuss and create your personal photo package.
Please refer to the 'How it works' tab for more details.
4) What is included?
Your initial investment will include 1-2 hours on location or in studio, based on the type of session. Senior portraits usually last a little longer than a small family session.
Multiple outfits are encouraged as time allows.
Wardrobe, styling, and location consultation will be offered.
There will be an additional viewing and ordering session following the initial photo session.
